Munnar is known for its tea plantations, as well as for the wild elephants that roam there. It's an impressive regenerative place. Kerala, the state in which Munnar is located, is one of the greenest regions in India thanks to all the important herbs and teas that grow here and are exported worldwide: from green, white and black tea to pepper, cardamom, ginger and vanilla. Most people living in this area therefore work on the tea plantations or grow herbs.
